Chamber Begins Search For New President - The Humble Area Chamber recently began their search for a new president to take the place of Mike Byers who recently announced he’ll retire at the end of 2010. Byers announced his plans to retire at the August Board of Directors meeting. The board recently approved a Search Committee which will conduct a national search and will be lead by 2009 Chamber Chairman Jason Medley, a law partner with O'Donnell, Ferebee, Medley & Keiser, PC. Chamber To Premiere New Logo On December 11 - The Chamber will take a huge step towards completing the transitioning process to their new name, “Lake Houston Area Chamber” by premiering the new chamber logo on December 11. The Chamber plans to debut their new logo to their members and the community at an Open House from 11 am until 1 pm on December 11 at the Chamber Office. Read More

Community Health & Wellness Committee Planning 5k & 10k Run - The Committee plans to host the Run/Walk on October 9, 2010. The re-organized committee met for the first time under the direction of Co-Chairs Dr. Kyle Buchan and Dr. Bruce Guillory to discuss their Plan of Work for 2010. According to Buchan, the run/walk is being organized to help promote the community as a center for health and wellness. Read More

  Farmer's Market Held Each Wednesday In Downtown Humble - The Humble Area Chamber’s Beautification Committee hosts a Farmer’s Market from 3 pm until 7 pm each Wednesday at the First Methodist Church parking lot located on Main Street in Downtown Humble. The Farmer’s Market offers the community an array of organic meats, orchard fruits, vegetables, and crafts and is held RAIN OR SHINE. Read More
